Benefits of Olaplex.

Olaplex claims to “reconnect broken disulfide sulfur bonds in the hair.” The treatment is labelled a “bond multiplier”, which limits damage to hair during or after colouring. A lot of people with damaged hair have managed to get amazing results from Olaplex.

I dye my hair regularly , I love having ombré ends therefore throughout my coloring treatments my colorist always uses Olaplex to avoid and reduce breakage of my hair during the coloring process.

So how does the Olaplex treatment work?

Well, according to Glamour magazine major Celebs such as Kim Kardashian are on board with this Olaplex treatment buy why? It claims to rebuild your hair and reduce breakage especially while using harsh chemicals like bleach. Here’s a slight look at the three step Olaplex process.

First, Olaplex Number 1: Bond Multiplier is used – this can be put on the hair as a stand-alone treatment, or if (like in my case) you’re getting your colour done, it is mixed in with the bleach and put straight onto your hair in foils.

Olaplex Number 2, Bond Perfector is then put on the hair once the bleach is rinsed out. This is left on for a good 20 minutes to really get the most out of its chemical mending.

Olaplex Number 3, Hair Perfector is where you take things into your own hands. The third step is a take home treatment, which the guys at Nevilles recommend you use once a week. Apply to damp hair, comb through, and leave on for a minimum of 10 minutes at home before washing as normal. If you want to maximise the effect, leave it on overnight (as Kim K recommends).
